Centre for Modern Buddhism
The centre provides a precious opportunity to study and practise the special presentation of modern Buddhism taught by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, affectionate called Geshe-la, the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition.
Geshe-la believes deeply in the universal relevance of Buddha’s teachings. He presents them in such a way that everyone - regardless of nationality, age, gender, or spiritual outlook - can immediately put into practice in their daily lives and begin to experience a purer form of happiness.
He understands the problems faced by modern people and shows how we can solve them through simple scientific methods taught by Buddha. Though his teachings are extraordinarily clear, easy to understand, and put into practice, they contain the entire profound lineage of ancient wisdom he holds.
